![]() As Senior Care Consultants with Vesta Senior Network, we are first hand witnesses to the stress that caring for someone with Alzheimer's creates. On The Longest Day, June 20, 2016, we wanted to recognize not only those suffering with this horrible disease, but we want to let those caregivers know that we honor and respect their roles. We participated in this day to bring awareness to their struggles and raise funds that will not only help the Alzheimer's Association #ENDALZ, but also provide support and services for caregivers until we realize a world without Alzheimer's. We began our day of Strength and Endurance at Legacy Gym MKE with boot camp classes at 5:20 a.m., 6:10, a.m., and 7:00 a.m. At 8:30 a.m., TEAM VESTA departed from Wauwatosa for a 50 mile round trip bike ride along the Oak Leaf, New Berlin, and Glacial Drumlin Trails to Dousman, WI. We ended the day at Leff's Lucky Town for some camaraderie raised additional funds with raffle prizes from many local business including Leff's, Locker's, Revere's, Bunzel's, Maxie's/Blues/Story Hill BKC, Paulina's Esthetic Boutique, Oro di oliva, as well as a few other items donated by Thrifty White Pharmacy. The generosity of everyone that donated, as well as the local business and patrons at Leff's was truly overwhelming. We are proud to say we raised over $2500 for the Alzheimer's Association! THANK YOU! Comments are closed.
